A military transport plane with 29 people on board crashed in the Bakhchysarai district. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a case due to violation of flight rules.

Russia has officially confirmed the crash of an An-26 military transport aircraft in occupied Crimea. This was reported by Russian "media", according to UNN.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the incident occurred on March 31 during a flight in the area of Kuibysheve village, Bakhchysarai district.
A criminal case has been opened into the An-26 aircraft crash under the article on violation of flight rules or preparation for them
It is noted that there were 7 crew members and 22 passengers on board.
Search operations are currently underway at the crash site. Military investigators, forensic experts, as well as units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation are involved in them.
