On Ukraine’s Independence Day, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on Sloviansk in Donetsk region. At least seven people were injured, including a child, UNN reports, citing Donetsk Regional Military Administration head Vadym Filashkin

Russian armed forces attacked the city at around 10:10 a.m. Four strikes were recorded in the central part of Sloviansk.

"At least seven people were injured as a result of the airstrikes on Sloviansk. Today, at around 10:10 a.m., the Russians launched several strikes on the city. Four strikes were recorded in the central part of Sloviansk," Filashkin reported.

Among those injured is a teenager born in 2010. All the wounded are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

"On Independence Day, the Russians once again show what they bring to Ukraine: suffering for its people and destruction for its cities. They will be held accountable for all their crimes!" the regional head stressed.
