Lavrov announced the preparation of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Iran. The document provides for closer cooperation in the defense sector and interaction at the regional and global levels.
The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran is being prepared for signing in the near future, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting of the Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security. This was reported by the Russian media, according to UNN.

According to Lavrov, the treaty will "enshrine the parties' desire for closer cooperation in the field of defense and for cooperation in the interests of peace and security at the regional and global levels.
In September, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin supported the proposal of the Russian Foreign Ministry to sign an agreement on strategic cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.
On October 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Iran has not yet provided missiles to Russia, but is actively negotiating.
