Romania is holding elections to a bicameral parliament - the Senate and the lower house. Voting takes place a week after the far-right candidate wins the first round of the presidential election.
On Sunday, Romanians went to the polls to elect deputies to the country's bicameral parliament - the Senate and the lower house. This is reported by Reuters, reports UNN.

The vote comes a week after the first round of presidential elections, in which the Independent far-right candidate received the most support. The results of the presidential vote are currently being checked by the highest court of Romania.
The Romanian Parliament consists of two chambers:
- The Senate with 133 seats;
- The lower house, which has 323 seats.
All 19 million citizens of the country that is a member of the European Union and NATO are eligible to participate in the elections.
