Romanchuk and Svitolina to carry the flag of Ukraine at the opening of the 2024 Olympics

Mykhailo Romanchuk and Elina Svitolina, winners of the previous Games, will be the flag bearers of the Ukrainian national team at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The ceremony will take place on July 26 at 21:00 Kyiv time.
This year, two winners of the previous Games will be the flag bearers of the Ukrainian national team. Thus, Elina won bronze in Tokyo, and Mykhailo won silver and bronze in the 1500 and 800 meter freestyle competitions, respectively. This was reported by the NOC of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Figure skater Viktor Petrenko was the first to carry the Ukrainian flag at the Olympic Games. It happened at the Winter Olympics in 1994. In total, nine male and eight female athletes have been flag bearers for Ukraine.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics will take place on Friday, July 26, at 21:00 Kyiv time. The live broadcast will be available on Suspilne Sport, local Suspilne TV channels and Channel One.
