A Kyiv resident met the child through an app and committed violence in an abandoned building. The indictment has been sent to court, and the perpetrator is in custody.

A walk in the park ended in violence – a 22-year-old Kyiv resident will be tried for raping an 11-year-old girl, UNN reports with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Serhiy Khodakivskyi, head of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, as the senior member of the group of juvenile prosecutors, sent an indictment to the court against a 22-year-old resident of Kyiv under Part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the young man met the schoolgirl on a dating app and offered to meet. During the conversation, he lied about his age, introducing himself as 15, which led the child not to perceive him as a threat. At the same time, as law enforcement officers established, the accused himself knew for certain that the girl was only 11 years old.

The meeting took place in one of Kyiv's parks. From there, they went to an abandoned building, where the man committed violence against the child.
After this, the girl told her mother about what she had experienced, and her mother contacted law enforcement.
The 22-year-old Kyiv resident was detained in November 2025 and notified of suspicion. He is currently in custody.
