The head of the European Commission intervened to provide medical care to a passenger who "needed medical attention" after airline staff called for help on a flight from Zurich to Brussels, European Commission spokeswoman Arianna Podesta confirmed.
"As is the case in such cases, the airline staff on board asked if any of the passengers had medical knowledge," Podesta said. - "So the president helped the passenger who needed it until we landed, and then the medical staff took over.
