President of Georgia discusses developments in the country with the new head of the European Council

During a conversation with the President of the European Council, Salome Zurabishvili said that only new elections can resolve the crisis in Georgia. She also does not recognize the legitimacy of the election of the new president, Mikheil Kavelashvili.
The only peaceful way out of the crisis in Georgia is to hold new elections, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said during a conversation with European Council President Antonio Costa. She said this in X, reports UNN.
According to Zurabishvili, on December 15, she spoke with the head of the European Council about the latest developments in Georgia. During the conversation, the Georgian president emphasized that the only peaceful way out of the crisis is political, through new elections.
“I have been assured that the EU will continue to support the Georgian people and their European future,” Zurabishvili said.
