An American official stated that US Vice President J.D. Vance's trip to Islamabad for potential talks was canceled, but warned that US President Donald Trump could change his mind at any moment, UNN reports with reference to AP.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner were due to arrive in Washington on Tuesday afternoon for consultations on next steps.
The official declined to predict what would happen if the current truce ended without a new meeting with Islamabad, but noted that Trump still had options other than resuming airstrikes.
