The Verkhovna Rada rejected resolutions that blocked the signing of the law on the reform of the Accounting Chamber. The law provides for reducing the number of members to 11 and expanding the powers to audit budget funds.
The Verkhovna Rada failed all resolutions that blocked the signing of the bill on the reform of the Accounting Chamber, which was adopted in late October. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, UNN reports.

All resolutions that blocked the signing of the draft law on the reform of the Accounting Chamber have been defeated. From now on, it can be signed by the Speaker and then by the President

At the end of October, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law “On the Accounting Chamber”, which was registered in the Parliament last year. The number of members of the Accounting Chamber will be reduced from 13 to 11. New members will be selected by the decisive vote of international experts.
In addition, the Chamber's powers to audit the funds of local budgets, state-owned enterprises, and extra-budgetary funds are being expanded.
