Opendatabot: Ukrzaliznytsia, ATB, and Ukrposhta topped the top employers this year: who else is in the ranking

Ukrzaliznytsia topped the ranking of the largest employers in Ukraine with 187,620 employees, followed by ATB-MARKET with 44,000 employees and Ukrposhta with 34,700 employees.

Opendatabot has compiled a ranking of the largest employers in Ukraine for 2024, using data from the State Statistics Service and financial reports of companies.
According to this rating, Ukrzaliznytsia tops the list with more than 187,000 employees. ATB-MARKET is in second place with 44 thousand employees. Ukrposhta ranks third with 34.7 thousand employees.

Silpo-Food - 29888 people;
Energoatom - 29152 people;
New mail - 26327 people;
Ukrgasvydobuvannya employs 16824 people;
ArcelorMittal - 15065 people;
Motor Sich - 14525 people;
Rush - 12336 people.
It is important to note that nine companies in the ranking reduced the number of their employees in 2023. In particular, Ukrposhta reduced its staff by 35% last year.
The list of companies that have significantly reduced the number of employees also includes Silpo with an 18.1% reduction and Energoatom, which reduced its staff by 12.5%.
In response to Opendatabot's request, Ukrposhta representatives stated that the company did not carry out massive staff reductions, but is actively working on implementing significant initiatives in the field of digitalization of processes and automation of routine operations.
The company's staff dynamics in recent years reflects several complex processes, including migration trends related to the full-scale war, changes in demand for certain types of services provided by the company, reorganization of business processes, digitalization and automation aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing manual labor
Most of Ukraine's leading employers are registered in Kyiv, including 6 companies. Three other companies are located in Dnipropetrovska oblast and one in Zaporizka oblast.
