Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have uncovered an underground production of olive oil and sauces labeled with well-known Italian brands in Kyiv, seizing more than 90 tons of counterfeit products.

Residents of Kyiv and Lviv region allegedly organized the underground production of olive oil and sauces of well-known Italian brands in the capital.
The criminals used the brand name and trademarks and sold counterfeit goods through a chain of stores under the guise of original products.
One of the affected companies has already claimed that it suffered material damage on a particularly large scale.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovs'k regions and seized equipment and more than 90 tons of products worth UAH 7.5 million.
