Details
Nvidia boss Jensen Huang explained the next wave of development: these are software packages that solve many of the logistical problems required to use AI for a specific purpose.
The goal is to make generative AI more widespread, so Nvidia provides software and services that will allow, for example, users of Apple Inc.'s Vision Pro headset to create virtual worlds.
The so-called virtual twins will be used for tasks such as teaching robotic computers to act more like humans, which will eliminate the need for developers to do it manually, Nvidia said.
For reference
Generative AI, the technology behind chatbots, voice recognition, and other automated human-computer interactions, often requires orchestrating multiple hardware, software, and information retrieval. Many companies don't have the expertise, so Nvidia is trying to do it for them for a fee.
AddendumAddendum
The company's latest offerings were demonstrated on Monday at the Siggraph conference in Denver, USA.
Recall
Nvidia plans to report impressive financial results from AI chip sales in the second quarter of 2024. The company expects significant revenue growth from its next-generation Blackwell GPUs in the coming quarters.
