Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said that the city would implement the Cabinet's decision to start the school year on September 2, not August 19, as recommended by the city headquarters, UNN reports.

Regarding the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to start the school year on September 2. We accept and will implement this decision. Lviv schoolchildren will start school together with everyone else

- Sadovyi wrote on Telegram.

The mayor of Lviv reminded that "the city's winterization headquarters recommended to start the drills on August 19 precisely because there is a risk of power outages.

"In times of war, we have to be flexible and quickly adapt to new circumstances. It is a pity that not everyone understands this. But this is definitely not a reason for the development of internal misunderstandings," Sadovyi noted.
