Norway supported Ukraine's call for peace and negotiations

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre stated that Ukraine is ready for a diplomatic end to the war. He confirmed support for Kyiv's peace initiatives.

Ukraine is demonstrating readiness for a diplomatic settlement of the war and continues to advocate for achieving a just peace. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, during a joint media briefing with the leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries, reports UNN.

According to him, Ukraine is the party most interested in ending the war today.
"I am convinced that no one wants peace more than Ukraine and its President. You have called for an end to the war, presented proposals and solutions that can facilitate the negotiation process. Ukraine proves time and again that it is ready for such a dialogue,"
He emphasized that Norway supports Kyiv's peace initiatives and is ready to help achieve a just settlement.
"We support your call for peace and are ready to join efforts that can help achieve this goal. But at the same time, we must remain resolute in our support for Ukraine,"
