More than UAH 560 million transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the NBU special account in October 2014

In October 2024, the NBU transferred UAH 563.4 million for the needs of Ukraine's defense. The funds were distributed between the National Guard (UAH 49.9 million) and the Ministry of Defense (UAH 508.3 million), with a total balance of UAH 1.5 billion on the special account.
The balance of funds on the special account, which was opened on February 24, 2022 to support the defense forces, is over UAH 1.5 billion.

According to the updated statistics published by the financial regulator, in October 2024, more than UAH 563.4 million was transferred for the defense needs of Ukraine, in particular:
- National Guard of Ukraine, 16.10.2024 - UAH 49.9 million;
- For the needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: 02.10.2024 - UAH 464.2 million; 18.10.2024 - almost UAH 44.1 million;
In total, since the beginning of the war, the NBU has transferred almost UAH 37.8 billion from the special account for defense needs.
The balance of funds is over UAH 1.5 billion.
Last month, the special account received over UAH 176.6 million.
