Massive Russian attack on Ukraine's power facilities: the power system is working as a whole, there are power supply restrictions mainly on the left bank of the Dnipro River - Ukrenergo
Kyiv • UNN
Russian attacks have damaged Ukrainian energy facilities, leading to power cuts mainly on the left bank of the Dnipro River, but the power grid is functioning well.
Today, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian thermal and hydroelectric power plants, as well as main substations. Due to the damage to energy facilities, power supply is limited mainly on the left bank of the Dnipro River. However, the power grid is functioning as a whole. This was stated by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, CEO of NPC Ukrenergo, during a telethon, UNN reports.

He noted that energy facilities were damaged in many regions, especially in Kharkiv, where the scale of damage was greater than in other regions. According to Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the enemy targeted various objects of the power system: generation, high-voltage substations, and distribution operator substations.
"Unfortunately, there are power supply restrictions in different regions of Ukraine, mainly on the left bank of the Dnipro. I emphasize that these are controlled restrictions for the system to work as a whole. Most of the questions are about the status of damage to the Dnipro HPP: there is currently no risk of a dam breach, the status of damage is being clarified and will be finally understood in a few hours," said the CEO of NPC Ukrenergo.
Kudrytskyi also noted that immediately after the alarms were dismissed, the damage assessment at all facilities began.
"I emphasize that we have enough people and skills to quickly overcome the consequences of the treacherous attack. I emphasize once again that the power system is working as a whole. I ask all consumers, all Ukrainians, to be patient and not to panic. This has already happened, power engineers are working and doing everything possible to restore power supply in the affected regions as soon as possible," summarized Kudrytskyi.
