Kyiv detains seller of illegal weapons on attempt to sell assault rifle, grenades and ammunition

Kyiv police detained a 26-year-old Kyiv resident who tried to illegally sell an arsenal of weapons, including assault rifles, grenades, ammunition and explosives worth over 170,000 UAH, for which he faces up to 7 years in prison.
Police and the Security Service of Ukraine detained a 26-year-old Kyiv resident who was illegally selling weapons and ammunition. This was reported by the Kyiv police, according to UNN.

Law enforcers detained the offender while he was selling a Kalashnikov assault rifle, eleven grenades, ten grenade launchers and two hundred rounds of 7x62 ammunition. He received over UAH 170 thousand for this arsenal.
During the investigation, the police seized another assault rifle with a silencer, a pistol, four grenades, twelve grenade launchers, 4 kg of explosives, 1,500 rounds of ammunition, and other military munitions.
The police detained the arms dealer in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. The offender was served a notice of suspicion of carrying, storing, purchasing and selling ammunition without a legal permit (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to seven years in prison for his crime.
