The Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv has sent an indictment against the head of the KCSA Finance Department to court.

He is accused of official negligence which, according to the investigation, caused over 581 million UAH in damages to the capital's territorial community.

The investigation established that for several years, the official approved the issuance of local loan bonds, through which the city attracted loans and paid hundreds of millions of hryvnias in interest for their servicing.

At the same time, the capital's budget revenues exceeded expenditures, meaning Kyiv had sufficient internal funds and, according to the investigation, did not need to attract loans.

In January 2024, the official was notified of the charges. The case has now been transferred to court.

His actions are classified under Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — official negligence that caused grave consequences to state interests.
