On Sunday, July 12, the Iraqi army attacked border posts and an oil platform in Kuwait amid mutual strikes between the US and Iran. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Kuwait Armed Forces.

Kuwait's Ministry of Defense stated that during a new series of strikes between the US and Iran, three border posts and an offshore drilling platform belonging to the state-owned oil and gas corporation Kuwait Petroleum were attacked. One employee was injured.
A video also appeared online, allegedly showing strikes on Kuwaiti territory.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported a new series of strikes on Iranian military facilities near the Strait of Hormuz. According to the command, this was a response to a missile attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on a civilian cargo ship.
