"Sumy, April 24 - winter decided to return. Today our city woke up under the snow. Blooming spring for a moment gave way to a winter mood - unexpectedly, but beautiful in its own way," wrote acting mayor of Sumy Artem Kobzar on social networks.

Forecasters warned that a new portion of cold air would spread from northern Europe to the territory of Ukraine. And that at night frosts are expected on the soil surface, in most northern, Cherkasy, Poltava and Kharkiv regions - in the air, and the daytime temperature will also drop slightly, especially in the northeast. In the zone of influence of the atmospheric front in the east, southeast of the country and Sumy region, light rains are expected, at night in some places with wet snow, in the rest of the territory in the low pressure field there will be no precipitation. In the afternoon, the wind will intensify in the Carpathian and eastern regions.
