As of July 14, Ukrainian farmers in all regions have begun harvesting early grain and leguminous crops. 763.0 thousand hectares, or 6% of the forecasted areas, have already been threshed, and 3.1 million tons of grain from the new crop have been harvested

- the ministry reported.

In particular, the following have been harvested:

  • barley – 1,842.4 thousand tons threshed from an area of 417.7 thousand hectares with an average yield of 44.1 c/ha;

      • peas – 156.4 thousand tons of peas from an area of 64.6 thousand hectares, yield 24.2 c/ha.

        In terms of the volume of early grain and leguminous crop harvesting, as indicated, farmers from the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions are currently leading. In particular:

        • Odesa region – 1,001.0 thousand tons from an area of 238.0 thousand hectares (wheat – 190.1 thousand tons, barley – 728.9 thousand tons, peas – 82.0 thousand tons);
          • Mykolaiv region – 805.1 thousand tons from an area of 227.3 thousand hectares (wheat – 351.5 thousand tons, barley – 409.2 thousand tons, peas – 44.4 thousand tons);

              In parallel, the harvesting of winter and spring rapeseed, the first oilseed crop of the new harvest, continues in Ukraine. It has been threshed on an area of 77.0 thousand hectares, with 149.1 thousand tons collected at an average yield of 19.4 c/ha.

              Addition

              According to preliminary estimates, the total harvest of grain and oilseed crops in 2026 is expected to be at the level of 81–83 million tons. In particular, grain production is forecast at 60–61 million tons, which corresponds to last year's figures. The wheat harvest is expected at the level of 22–23 million tons due to a reduction in sown areas and more restrained yield forecasts. At the same time, corn production may exceed 32 million tons, and barley production may amount to about 5 million tons.
