The SBU also emphasized that the Yaroslavl oil refinery is one of the five largest enterprises in Russia's oil-refining industry, with a capacity of nearly 15 million tonnes of oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene and other strategically important petroleum products for Russia's central regions and the metropolitan agglomeration. As a result of the Ukrainian drone attack, at least six explosions occurred at the facility, and fires broke out in four different parts of the plant.

According to preliminary information, four RVS-2000 crude-oil storage tanks were damaged, causing an oil spill. Two tanks caught fire. In addition, key ELOU-1 and AVT-3 process units were damaged, and fires also broke out there.

Also, as a result of drone strikes on the port area in Kerch (the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea), two Project 10410 ("Svetlyak") patrol ships of the Russian FSB's Coast Guard — "Balaklava" and "Kerch" — were damaged.
