In the village of Novorontsovka, Beryslav district, Kherson region, a 68-year-old woman died as a result of Russian artillery shelling. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the war crime. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, writes UNN.

According to the investigation, around 5:00 a.m. on July 13, Russian military forces carried out an artillery strike on Novorontsovka. As a result of the shelling, a local resident sustained fatal injuries.
Under the procedural supervision of the Beryslav District Prosecutor's Office, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the laws and customs of war, resulting in the death of a person.
Prosecutors, together with investigators, are documenting the consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and gathering evidence of the war crime committed by representatives of the aggressor state.
