In Kyiv, a man will be tried for inflicting severe injuries on a tow truck driver and leaving him in danger. The attacker faces up to eight years in prison.
In Kyiv, an indictment was sent to court against a man who, during a conflict in Pechersk, inflicted severe injuries on an tow truck driver and then left him unconscious in the cold. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, according to UNN.
The Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv sent an indictment to court against a man who inflicted severe bodily injuries on a tow truck driver in Pechersk. The conflict between the 32-year-old driver, who works as a fitness trainer, and the 49-year-old tow truck driver occurred in February 2026.
According to the investigation, the owner of the Honda car demanded that the car be removed from the tow truck platform. During the conflict, he hit the tow truck driver in the head. From the blow, the man fell, lost consciousness, and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury.
After that, the attacker grabbed the unconscious man by the collar and dragged him aside, leaving him lying on the asphalt. At that moment, the air temperature was minus 14.5 degrees Celsius. After that, the offender left the scene of the conflict without providing assistance to the victim.
According to the results of the pre-trial investigation, the driver's actions were qualified as intentional grievous bodily harm and knowingly leaving a person in a life-threatening condition without assistance (Part 1 of Article 121, Part 1 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The man faces a penalty of imprisonment for up to 8 years.
