The court sentenced in absentia the head of the occupation media holding "Television and Radio Company Crimea" to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. He is accused of propaganda and support of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The head of the propaganda media holding TRK Crimea was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol reports, UNN reports .

The largest "Kremlin mouthpiece" on the Crimean peninsula has been convicted: The general director of the occupation media holding "Television and Radio Company Crimea" was sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. The prosecutor's office did not name the convicted propagandist, but it is possible that it is Vadim Pervykh.
In April 2020, the convict voluntarily took up the position of General Director of the occupation "ANO "TV and Radio Company Crimea". This network includes 16 pro-Russian media outlets, including: "First Crimean" and "Crimea 24".
The prosecutor's office reports that in his position, the "media man" actively participates in political and informational events to support Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, carries out propaganda activities and promotes Russian narratives, thus influencing the minds of residents of the occupied territories.
The forensic linguistic examination confirmed that the statements of the convict contain justification and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, committing actions and disseminating ideas aimed at changing the boundaries of the territory and the state border, as well as supporting the decisions and actions of the aggressor state.
