The difference between the iOS and Android operating systems lies not only in the interface but also in the data structure. Therefore, directly copying files from one device to another may not work. However, there are several effective ways to solve this task.
Mobile users store contacts, photos, videos, documents, and audio files on their mobile devices. However, when upgrading a smartphone, the question arises of how to quickly, conveniently, and securely transfer their data to another smartphone, as they do not want to part with their materials when switching to a new model. Ways to transfer data from iPhone to Android
The difference between the iOS and Android operating systems lies not only in the interface but also in the data structure. Therefore, directly copying files from one device to another may not work. However, there are several effective ways to accomplish this task.
The main method for transferring data from iPhone to Android is using Google cloud storage. This is the fastest and easiest way, which will allow you to comfortably transfer photos, videos, contacts, calendar events, and messenger chats.
First, connect your iPhone and Android smartphone to a Wi-Fi network. Make sure you have a Google account.
Install the Google Drive app on your phones. On Android, the app may already be installed by default, but on iOS you will have to perform a manual installation. To do this, go to the App Store and download Google Drive from there.
Before starting the procedure, be sure to create a backup of your iPhone and transfer it to a safe place, such as a computer. In this case, it is better to use a PC and the iTunes program. If you do not want to use a computer, backing up via iCloud will suffice.
Install a special app from Google called "Switch To Android" on your iPhone. This will allow you to quickly and efficiently transfer all important data to your new Android phone.
Optimize the quality of photos and videos in Google backup settings. This step cannot be skipped if you want to transfer your images and photos in their original high quality. To do this, go to Google Drive, select "Backup", and then choose the section with photos and videos. In the quality selection line, specify "High" or "Original". If you need to save space, the app offers to slightly compress photos and reduce video resolution to Full HD.
Take care of backing up your messengers. For example, save correspondence, chats, and photos/videos from WhatsApp to Google Drive as well.
How to transfer contacts
For this simple procedure, you can use cloud services or special apps. In both cases, you will need internet access.
The cloud service is precisely designed to synchronize data on a smartphone, PC, and tablet. These same capabilities should be used to transfer contacts from iPhone to Android. There are 2 variations of this method: with or without a PC. In both cases, a little preparation is necessary:
- open the settings of the Apple phone;
- select the iCloud item;
- move the slider next to "Contacts" to the right.
Using a PC:
- On your computer, open a browser and find iCloud in the search engine;
- go there and log into the service using your Apple ID login and password;
- several icons will appear, you need to click on "Contacts";
- wait for all numbers to load;
- tap once on any contact and select all.
The user only needs to click on the gear icon, then on "Export vCard". The service will start downloading the numbers to the PC. To transfer contacts from the PC to an Android smartphone, you need to connect it to the computer using a cable and transfer the file to the phone's memory.
You can also transfer contacts from iPhone to Android manually if you do not want to spend time installing third-party apps or connecting a computer.
You need to open the phone book on your iPhone and mark the contact to transfer. At the bottom of the page, select the "Share Contact" option and specify the transfer method, for example, via email or SMS message. Now you can take the second phone and receive the sent information.
This option is suitable for transferring one or several contacts. When transferring the entire phone book, this method cannot be called rational - it is long and too problematic.
In addition, contacts can also be transferred using a SIM card. However, the official iOS hardware platform does not support physically moving contacts to a SIM card. Therefore, you will need to install the SIManager application. For the utility to work, you must first unlock the Jailbreak operation. Selected contacts should be moved to the SIM card. After that, the SIM card must be installed in a smartphone running the Android OS - the task is completed, you can use the updated phone book.

Transferring data from messengers
The WhatsApp Transfer menu is responsible for creating backups, restoring chats, and transferring WhatsApp, Viber, and other messengers.
First, the program will detect the connected smartphone and synchronize with it. Immediately after that, MobileTrans will offer to select the messengers you want to restore, transfer to another device, or back up.
We connect another phone and press the "Start" button. Android phones must be switched to USB debugging mode – for this, the program provides convenient step-by-step instructions for a wide range of models.
