House of former Ukrainian national team player sold with forged documents - Prosecutor General's Office

In the Kyiv region, a case concerning the illegal alienation of elite real estate belonging to a former Ukrainian national football player has been sent to court. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.

Details

It concerns a house and a land plot in the village of Stoyanka, Bucha district, with a total value of over 19 million hryvnias.

According to the investigation, in 2023, a serviceman who arbitrarily left his duty station, together with accomplices, organized a scheme using a forged power of attorney on behalf of the owner. The document was allegedly issued through a foreign consular institution.

Based on this power of attorney, a purchase and sale agreement was concluded in October 2023, after which the real estate was illegally alienated.

Subsequently, attempts were made to use the property for profit – to pledge it or rent it out.

In October 2025, the suspect was notified of suspicion under several articles, including arbitrary abandonment of a military unit, use of forged documents, and large-scale fraud.

Currently, the indictment has been sent to court. In parallel, a civil process is underway to return the property to its rightful owner, and other individuals who may have been involved in the scheme are being identified.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
