HBO has officially confirmed that the series Euphoria will conclude with its third season. The reasons for the finale include filming delays and the busy schedules of its star-studded cast.

HBO has officially confirmed that the series "Euphoria" will conclude with its 3rd season, UNN reports, citing Variety.

After seven years, three seasons, and 26 episodes, the series "Euphoria" has officially come to an end. Sam Levinson—the creator, writer, and director of the HBO show—made this announcement on Popcast, a New York Times music podcast, in a conversation with hosts Joe Coscarelli and Jon Caramanica. HBO also confirmed Levinson's statement to Variety.
Thus, the final episode of Season 3, titled "In God We Trust," has effectively become the series finale.
This news does not come as a surprise, given that lead actress Zendaya stated in interviews that she believed the series would end after Season 3. It had long been known even earlier that the HBO drama would not be renewed.
Four years passed between the second and third seasons, and Zendaya along with several of her co-stars became major celebrities with busy blockbuster filming schedules. For this and other reasons, the production of the third season faced significant delays, as reported by Variety in 2024.
In an interview with the Times ahead of the season premiere, Levinson said he writes "every season as if it's the last" and hesitated when asked about a fourth season. "I don't know," Levinson said. "Right now, all I want to do is spend time with my wife and kids, read Elmore Leonard, and re-watch 'Mrs. Miniver'."
According to the official description, "Euphoria" follows a "group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship." In the third season, following a time jump, they "struggle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil."
In addition to Zendaya, the cast included Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, and Colman Domingo.
