German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany would not lift restrictions on shelling of Russian territory to prevent a war between Russia and NATO. According to him, Germany supports Ukraine as much as necessary, and at the same time, all decisions are balanced.
Scholz said this at a traditional summer press conference in Berlin, quoted by DW, reports UNN.

He noted that Germany has clearly explained what types of weapons it can and cannot supply to Ukraine. Also, according to him, Ukraine has received permission to use some of the weapons that Germany is transferring through the territory of Russia, but only in the border areas near Kharkiv region. In addition, Scholz said that Germany will not send its military to Ukraine and emphasized the need to support the processes that will lead to peace in Ukraine.
