According to police, the use of flammable materials as decoration may have contributed to the rapid spread of the fire, which started near the stage.
This "indicates a lack of caution and disregard for visitor safety," Police General Kittiratt Phanphet said on Monday.
At least 30 people died in the fire, and dozens more were injured. Rescuers found many victims in the restrooms at the back of the bar, where experts believe they tried to escape but could not.
