Explosives were detonated near the shopping center in Zhytomyr region on the order of Russia: two suspects detained

Two suspects in the terrorist attack near the shopping center were detained in Berdychiv. According to the investigation, they manufactured and detonated an explosive device on the instructions of Russian handlers.
In Zhytomyr region, law enforcement officers detained two suspects in the explosion of explosives near the administrative building of the Berdychiv District Shopping Center and Joint Venture on December 24. They have now been notified of being suspected of the terrorist attack. According to the available information, the detainees organized the attack under the guidance of Russian curators, UNN reports with reference to the National Police and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Under the procedural supervision of the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office, two persons were served a notice of suspicion of committing a terrorist act (Part 2 Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
According to the investigation, the suspects detonated explosives near the administrative building of the Berdychiv District TCC and JV on December 24 at about 15:30. None of the personnel or civilians were injured
The police seized a bag with an improvised explosive device filled with metal ball munitions and a cell phone from the scene. In addition, law enforcement officers found a phone that was probably used for video broadcasting and other material evidence.
The investigation revealed that the terrorist attack was committed by a repeatedly convicted native of Donetsk region and a resident of Berdychiv. Both are drug addicts. The suspects, looking for dubious earnings in one of the Telegram channels, agreed to an offer to make explosives and detonate them near the military registration and enlistment office.
The explosive device was placed in a food container. An electric detonator with remote control was attached to it.
The man reportedly currently lives in Kyiv. To commit the attack, he traveled from the capital to Berdychiv, brought explosives to the TCC and JV and detonated them remotely.
After that, the suspect tried to escape. However, he and his accomplice were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
According to the available information, the accomplices organized the terrorist attack under the guidance of Russian supervisors.
Currently, at the request of the prosecutor's office, the suspects have been imposed no alternative measure of restraint - detention.
