Estonia considers purchasing Ukrainian missiles and drones due to delays in US arms supplies

Due to delays in HIMARS deliveries, Estonia is considering purchasing Ukrainian long-range weapons. Ukrainian developments will allow striking targets at a distance of over 1000 km.
Estonia may turn to Ukraine to purchase long-range missiles and drones amid delays in the supply of American weapons, including HIMARS systems. This is reported by Defense Express, writes UNN.

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur confirmed that deliveries of HIMARS and Javelin anti-tank systems have been temporarily suspended. The country's parliament has already stated the need to look for alternative solutions.
According to the publication, the key problem for Estonia is not the launchers themselves, but the shortage of missiles for them. The country has already received six of the nine ordered HIMARS systems, with three more expected by 2027.
At the same time, South Korean K239 Chunmoo systems are also expected to be in service, but the issue of ammunition remains important for them as well.
Possible cooperation with Ukraine
Former Commander of the Estonian Armed Forces Martin Herem stated that the country could consider cooperation with Ukraine.
It will be possible to analyze whether these capabilities can be partially provided jointly with Ukraine – for example, in the form of long-range drones or even missiles
According to estimates, Ukrainian developments can provide a significantly greater range of destruction – up to a thousand kilometers or more.
Impact on defense capabilities
Currently, Estonia relies on the ability to hit targets at a distance of up to 300 km, in particular thanks to ATACMS missiles.
However, if long-range Ukrainian means are used, the potential range can increase, which will expand the possibilities of hitting strategic targets.
