Several regions of Ukraine are experiencing emergency power outages due to a lack of generating capacity caused by Russia's massive attack on Ukrainian power plants at night.

Emergency power outages have been introduced in Dnipropetrovs'k, Zaporizhzhia, and Kirovohrad regions due to a lack of generating capacity caused by Russia's massive attack on Ukrainian power plants at night. There are also restrictions in Kharkiv region. This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo on Friday, UNN reports.

"Ukrenergo's dispatch center is forced to apply emergency shutdown schedules until the evening in Dnipropetrovs'k, Zaporizhzhya, and Kirovohrad regions," the company said.

As noted, the main reason is the lack of sufficient generating capacity in the system to cover consumption in certain regions of the country, as a result of a massive Russian attack on Ukrainian power plants at night.

"Power supply restrictions also remain in effect in Kharkiv region and Kryvyi Rih," the NPC said.

Consumers in other regions were also urged to consume electricity sparingly and consciously.
