Since August 2023, 100,000 buses have crossed the border of Ukraine by online registration in the eChezha system. The service is available at 28 checkpoints, with the option to choose the time of crossing at 16 of them.

Already, 100,000 buses have crossed the Ukrainian border using the eChezha system, 61% of them at the border with Poland. The service is available at 28 checkpoints, with the option to choose the time of crossing at 16 of them. This was reported by the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine on Thursday, UNN reports.

Since August last year, 100,000 buses have crossed the border using the eChezha system. This includes over 61 thousand border crossings with Poland, 13 thousand with Romania, and over 12 thousand with Moldova

- the Recovery Agency reported on social media.

The system was scaled up in February 2024, when the service became available at 28 checkpoints. At 16 of them, carriers can choose the time of crossing the border by bus according to its schedule. These are all five checkpoints with Romania, ten checkpoints with Moldova, and the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint with Poland, which is being modernized to speed up border crossing, the agency said.

"At the rest of the checkpoints, registration in the system is based on the principle of "register and go". This makes it possible to analyze the load on the border and verify the implementation of bus routes. Later, we will extend the ability to choose the time of border crossing to other checkpoints. The key goal is to prevent passengers from waiting in long physical queues in front of checkpoints," the agency said.
