According to the UN, the number of civilian casualties in Donetsk region increased from 125 in May to 269 in July 2024. Humanitarian organizations continue to help civilians leave the areas of active hostilities.

The security situation in Donetsk region continues to deteriorate. According to the latest report of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU), in June and July, the number of confirmed civilian casualties in Donetsk region increased from 125 civilians killed or injured in May to 224 in June and 269 in July 2024
According to the humanitarian community in Sumy region, 22 civilians were killed or injured in May 2024; 12 civilians were injured in June.
