Kyiv • UNN
Trump announced China's agreement to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft. The order volume turned out to be smaller than expected, causing the company's shares to drop.

China has agreed to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft from the United States of America. This was stated by US President Donald Trump, UNN reports with reference to Reuters.
Details
It is noted that this number turned out to be much lower than analysts expected, and the aircraft manufacturer's shares fell.
The details of the deal, including when and what types of aircraft will be delivered, are unknown, but the amount turned out to be much smaller than the package of approximately 500 aircraft that sources said was discussed before the meeting between Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Thursday,
It is indicated that the large Boeing order was one of many business deals expected to be concluded as a result of the summit. In addition, analysts expect a continuation of the "fragile trade truce" reached last October, when Trump suspended triple-digit tariffs on Chinese goods and Xi "backed away from blocking global supplies of vital rare earth elements."
According to sources familiar with the discussions, the negotiations concerned 500 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, as well as possibly dozens of more expensive wide-body aircraft as part of follow-up orders after the summit. China was also in talks to conclude a similar-sized deal with European aircraft manufacturer Airbus.
