Beijing has launched a maritime operation due to an agreement between Japan and the Philippines. Forces from several provinces and the China Coast Guard have been involved in the patrolling.
China has announced the start of a special maritime operation east of Taiwan. This is reported by Bloomberg, according to UNN.

It is noted that Beijing responded in this way to the recent agreement between Japan and the Philippines regarding negotiations on the demarcation of maritime borders and a significant deepening of defense cooperation in areas that China considers a sphere of its strategic interests.
China's Ministry of Transport launched a "special maritime traffic control operation" on Saturday. The move was intended to exercise China's "maritime administrative jurisdiction" and protect national interests, the report said.
It is indicated that to demonstrate strength, the Chinese leadership conducted large-scale inter-regional coordination of security forces. The operation simultaneously involved maritime civilian and law enforcement agencies of Fujian Province, relevant structures of the southern Guangdong Province, as well as coast guard and control agencies of the East China Sea.
Context
On June 1, Beijing reported that it had sent ships to Taiwan due to negotiations between Japan and the Philippines regarding borders. China considers these actions illegal and is strengthening control in the region.
On June 4, it became known that Japan and the Philippines are creating their own security system to deter China.
At the same time, the administration of US President Donald Trump is demonstrating a more restrained approach to this issue.
