Herman Smetanin announced the end of his work as CEO of Ukroboronprom. The resignation came amid announced personnel decisions following the detonation of warehouses in Vyshneve.
CEO of Ukroboronprom Herman Smetanin announced his resignation, reports UNN.
Today I am finishing my work as the General Director of the Joint-Stock Company "Ukrainian Defense Industry". It was an honor for me to lead the largest defense company of Ukraine
He also wished the new head and the team "further success in fulfilling the important state mission".
Smetanin did not give reasons for his resignation, but the event took place against the backdrop of personnel decisions announced by the President of Ukraine after the detonation of warehouses in Vyshneve.

As a result of the Russian attack in Vyshneve the largest destruction of the residential sector since the full-scale invasion has been recorded - 13 hectares of residential buildings.
Later, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he expects the SBU and intelligence to thoroughly clarify what happened in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, where people were evacuated in the morning due to the threat of repeated detonation.
