The SBU classifies the explosion of an Opel car on Varnenska Street in Odesa as an attempted terrorist attack. A man who was in the vehicle was injured and is receiving medical assistance.

The Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal case regarding the explosion of an Opel car in Odesa and qualifies the incident as an attempted terrorist act, the SBU department in Odesa region reported on Saturday, writes UNN.
The SBU qualifies the car explosion in Odesa's Kyivskyi district on July 5 as an attempted terrorist act and has already opened a corresponding criminal proceeding.

According to the investigation, the Opel car explosion occurred this morning on Varnenska Street. It is currently known that a man who was inside the vehicle was injured. He is receiving medical assistance.
An investigative and operational group and explosives experts are working at the scene.
"The SBU and the National Police are carrying out comprehensive measures to establish all circumstances of the explosion and the persons involved in it. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act)," the SBU reported.
