Cancellation of utility payments for housing damaged during the war - Zelenskyy signed the law

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a bill that regulates utility payments for owners of destroyed housing. This was reported by UNN with reference to bill card No. 13155.

Details

According to the explanatory note to this regulatory act, the goal is to regulate at the legislative level the issue of exempting homeowners from paying for multi-apartment building management services (reducing the fee by decision of co-owners) in case of damage or destruction, which led to the impossibility of its further operation, for the period of its restoration.

The law exempts from payment for multi-apartment building management services if the property is damaged or destroyed.

Additionally

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received this bill on April 4, 2025. On May 13, 2025, the document was adopted as a basis, and on March 25, 2026, it was adopted in its entirety.

On March 30, 2026, this bill was signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, after which he sent it to the President of Ukraine for signature.

Recall

Ukrainians were reminded of the procedure for receiving financial assistance for housing restoration that was damaged as a result of Russian armed aggression.
