The head of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, believes that Telegram poses a threat to national security, as it can be used to influence people in the occupied territories and spread disinformation, and calls for the regulation of such platforms.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, believes that Telegram is a problem from the point of view of national security. This was reported by UNN with reference to Budanov, who was quoted by the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security.

According to Budanov, Telegram can be used to influence people in the occupied territories, in particular, it can be used to convey something to people in these territories.

Telegram is definitely a problem from the point of view of national security. This must be understood. In addition, I am absolutely against the infringement of freedom of speech. But this is too much. In other words, anyone can create a channel, start writing whatever they want on it, and when they start doing something, they can hide behind the fact that it's media freedom. But this is not media freedom, it's called something else
