French President Emmanuel Macron welcomes the decision of the US and Iranian leaders to agree to a ceasefire and hopes for its full observance in all conflicts, including Lebanon. He wrote about this on the social network X, UNN reports.

According to Macron, he spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump the day before.
I told them both that their decision to agree to a ceasefire was the best possible outcome. I expressed hope that the ceasefire would be fully observed by all warring parties in all theaters of conflict, including Lebanon.
He emphasized that "this is a necessary condition for the ceasefire to be reliable and lasting."
"Only in this way can a strong and lasting peace be built with the participation of all who can contribute. France will play its full role in close cooperation with its partners in the Middle East," the French president assured.
