Belgium to finance reconstruction projects in Ukraine for €150 million: agreement signed

Belgium will provide EUR 150 million to finance projects to restore energy and social infrastructure in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine.
Belgium will provide 150 million euros to finance reconstruction projects, including energy and social infrastructure in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said, noting that a corresponding agreement has been signed with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Kroo, UNN reports.

"Belgium will finance €150 million worth of reconstruction projects in Ukraine. The agreement that launches these projects was signed with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Kroo during an online meeting. In particular, the funds will be used to restore energy and social infrastructure in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions," Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.
According to him, the signed agreement simplifies the implementation of joint programs and projects, and will contribute to the recovery, economic and social development of our country. Also, under the agreement, the Belgian development agency Enabel will open a representative office in Ukraine.
"We thank Belgium for its unwavering support of Ukraine in the struggle for our freedom, independence and European future," he said.
