Third of battles fell on three directions - map from General Staff

Up to a third of the 207 battles on the front over the past day took place on the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Sloviansk directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning update on August 3, showing a map of hostilities, UNN writes.

In total, 207 combat engagements were recorded over the past day

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 94 airstrikes, dropping 296 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 10,573 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,336 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, including 31 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck four UAV control points, eight artillery pieces, seven areas of personnel concentration, and five command posts of the Russian invaders.

Situation by directions

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, six combat engagements with the enemy took place over the past day; the aggressor carried out two airstrikes, dropping four aerial bombs, and conducted 77 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.

In the South-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units nine times towards the settlements of Hoptivka, Nesterne, Pokalyane, Anyskine, Lyman, and Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk direction, seven enemy attacks occurred towards Kivsharivka, Kutkivka, and Radkivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attempted to penetrate our defenses 10 times, attacking towards Lyman, Stavky, Dibrova, and in the areas of the settlements Novoselivka, Ozerne, and Zarichne.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy stormed 17 times in the areas of the settlements Riznykivka, Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and towards Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy conducted one offensive action towards Yurkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 20 attacks in the areas of the settlements Kostiantynivka, Ilinivka, Rusyn Yar, Shakhove, and towards the settlements Dovha Balka, Nove Shakhove, Pavlivka, Vilne, and Kucheriv Yar.

In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 30 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and towards the settlements Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Svitle, Huliveve, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers carried out 15 attacks towards the settlements Vozdvyzhivka, Dobropillia, Hirke, Charivne, Novoselivka, and Staroukrainka.

In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped one attempt by the enemy to advance in the area of Stepove.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions over the past day.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
