A feature film will be made about Ukrainian fencer Olga Kharlan. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy - Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna, UNN reports.

According to her, one of the first applications for the state program of cultural product support "Tysyachovesna" was a sports drama about Kharlan - an Olympic champion and "one of the strongest figures in modern Ukrainian sports."
Olga Kharlan is an example of strength, dignity and integrity. A true role model for Ukrainians and the whole world. Her story inspires and tells about the path of a champion, personal trials, internal struggle and the path to overcoming obstacles
She emphasized that it is symbolic that one of the first submitted projects was a film about the struggle in the sports space - "where Ukraine daily fights for its right to be heard," because, "as in sports, there can be no neutrality in Ukrainian culture where identity and influence are concerned."
