2 thousand North Korean military transferred to combat units of the Russian Federation: the Gur called options for the development of events

According to intelligence data, 2 thousand servicemen were sent to the Marine Brigade and Airborne Division of the Russian Federation, which will mean three options for the development of events: either they will participate in active combat operations on the territory of Ukraine, or the Russian Federation, or they will remain in the combat reserve on the second line. This was stated by the representative of the Gur Andrey Chernyak in an interview with Radio Liberty, reports UNN.

According to Chernyak, 11 thousand North Korean military personnel who are currently on the territory of the Russian Federation, although there are not many of them, but they still pose a danger.

They pose a danger both for Ukraine and for the region from which they came. We do not yet know in what role they will participate in the fighting, but we understand that those soldiers who will remain alive and return to the territory of North Korea will already be people who are trained in the rules of Modern Warfare. We know that at the training grounds in the Kursk region where North Korean military personnel are currently stationed, they undergo both general military training and specific training as UAV operators

He expressed concern that after the DPRK military returns back, it will already be trained specialists who, firstly, understand how to control UAVs themselves, and, secondly, it will already be instructors who will be able to teach the million-strong North Korean army New conditions of warfare, new conditions for conducting combat operations.

"This is a danger for the region. This is a danger for South Korea, this is a danger for Japan, this is a danger for all the democratic countries that are in this region. We also understand this, " Chernyak added. 

According to him, now there are 9 thousand North Korean troops in the operational reserve.  

""2 thousand were transferred to combat units. There are three possible scenarios here. Or they will participate in active military operations on the territory of Ukraine. Or they will participate in active military operations on the territory of Russia, on the territory of the Kursk region. Or they will remain in the operational reserve on the second line of defense, which in principle is also a danger for Ukraine. Why? Because this will make it possible to release a certain number of Russian servicemen who will be involved in conducting active military operations," the representative of the Gur said. 

He also said that, according to intelligence data, 2 thousand servicemen were sent to the Marine Brigade and Airborne Division. 

"If they have already been included in those units that are actively fighting, then we can say with confidence that they have also already joined the conduct of hostilities. Maybe they're not on the first line. They may not be at the forefront, but they still provide aggression against Ukraine, ensure the murder of Ukrainian servicemen," the intelligence official said. 

Chernyak also did not rule out that North Korea may increase its contingent.
