President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the massive Russian strike on Ukraine, stating that Russia attacked with over 70 missiles, a significant number of which were ballistic, as well as over 280 drones, of which more than 260 were destroyed, and 8 people are known to have died as a result of the Russian attack, reports UNN.

"Tonight, due to a Russian missile strike in Radushne in the Dnipropetrovsk region, parents and three children were killed. Two more children were pulled alive from the rubble. An ordinary residential house completely destroyed by a ballistic missile... In Lviv, work is also ongoing at the site of a strike on a building – clearing rubble, searching for people. Across the country, as of now, eight people are known to have died. My condolences to their families and loved ones... Dozens of people are wounded, everyone is receiving necessary medical care," Zelenskyy wrote on social media on Thursday.
According to him, all necessary services have been deployed.
"Under attack tonight were Kyiv and the region, our Dnipropetrovsk region, Lviv region, Poltava region, Kharkiv region, Mykolaiv region, Sumy region, Vinnytsia region, Cherkasy region, and Ivano-Frankivsk region. Dozens of ordinary houses, civilian enterprises, and infrastructure facilities have been destroyed or damaged," the President noted.
This strike involved more than 70 missiles, a significant number of which were ballistic. Additionally, over 280 attack drones. More than 260 drones were destroyed. A significant number of cruise missiles were shot down by our combat aviation, and even mobile fire groups managed to engage cruise missiles. In conditions where there is a critical shortage of air defense missiles from partners, our warriors are doing simply unreal things, demonstrating a very high level of professionalism. This is extraordinary skill that saves lives when the supply of missiles for air defense systems is not happening or is delayed
The President stated: "This Russian terror once again proves: protection from the Russian missile threat is the most important task for preserving the lives of our people. And this is a task that cannot be only Ukrainian, only one country's. All partners know how and with what they can help. Untimely assistance, delays in the supply of anti-ballistic missiles – these are exactly the kind of destruction, exactly the kind of casualties that, unfortunately, we have today. It is important to support the protection of life. Thank you to everyone who truly helps!".
