Details

He noted that the meeting was attended by members of the delegation involved in negotiations on the development and preparation of bilateral and multilateral international agreements between Ukraine and other states on security guarantees for our country.

This agreement should be exemplary: it should take into account the real capabilities of the United States and the best elements of the security agreements already signed by Ukraine. They discussed the main elements of the future document, the strengths of the nine bilateral security agreements already signed, and the algorithm of actions once the US Congress decides to provide military assistance to Ukraine,

- Yermak said.

According to him, two rounds of negotiations on the security agreement have been held with American partners. The participants of the meeting agreed on actions to prepare for the next round, which will allow for progress on the text of the draft document.

The U.S. agreement with Ukraine should work no worse than the U.S. memorandum with Israel, which confirmed the effectiveness of the allies' joint actions in recently repelling a massive Iranian attack on Israel,

- Yermak added

The Presidential Administration told when Ukraine will start substantive negotiations on the content of the security agreement with the United States2/25/24, 2:20 PM
