The President has instructed the development of a legislative framework for the creation of Ukrainian PMCs by the end of the year. Veterans will be able to monetize their experience through security exports.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered the development and adoption of a law on Ukrainian private military companies this year. According to him, this will allow Ukraine to continue being a global actor, and Ukrainian warriors will be able to earn from the unprecedented experience gained through Ukrainian defense. Zelenskyy stated this in his evening address, reports UNN

Today there was a meeting regarding certain special post-war opportunities for our warriors. The entire world sees that the Ukrainian warrior is truly strong, truly experienced. Our security export – after this war and for veterans – must be a real business opportunity. It is right, it is fair, so that our state can continue to be a global actor, so that Ukrainian warriors can earn from the unprecedented experience that our defense has provided

- Zelenskyy said.

He added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs, intelligence, necessary government officials, and the Office team are preparing the legislative framework for what is known in the world as "military companies."

I have ordered the development of the most optimal format for Ukraine and to ensure the adoption of the law this year. Leading world powers involve their citizens in work within so-called private military companies and in some other organizational forms. It is important to provide our state response to this niche, to this opportunity, to this demand in the field of security export

- Zelenskyy added.

As a reminder

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and military intelligence (GRU) have intensified the use of former Wagner Group recruiters to create a network of "disposable agents" in European Union countries. According to Western intelligence services, Moscow has changed its tactics due to the mass expulsion of career diplomat-spies.
